The other side of tea

2021 Changning Yesheng Dashu Hong Cha

The tea in our offer comes from the surroundings of Changning town located in Baoshan Prefecture in Yunnan. It is a handmade picked “shai hong” black tea produced traditionally, dried in the sun, coming from the old tree variety Camellia Taliensis growing on both banks of the Mekong River. Characteristic feature of this variety is fast oxidation. This is the reason why it is often used in black tea production. The old trees are called “dashu” and their age is estimated between 500 and 1000 years.
