The other side of tea

2024 Lai Chao Wild Forest Hong Cha

11.00 21.00

This black tea is extremely delicate and complex, very smooth, with a silky and round texture, without bitterness or astringency. It brings a feast of extremely subtle aromas of peach and apricot and exotic touches of mango and passion fruit. The long-lasting finish is filled with notes of cinnamon and spices. An exceptionally balanced and delicate tea, combining wonderful smoothness with exceptionally rich aromas.

The leaves come from a remote, untouched part of the forest covering Pu Ta Leng mountain in the Lai Chao region, an area rich in wild tea bushes, and were harvested at an altitude of about 2,500m above sea level. In fact, this mountain is an extension of the Ai Lao Shan mountain range in China’s Yunnan province and was probably one of the first routes for the spread of wild tea bushes to the south.
