The other side of tea

The tea we offer is a blend of carefully selected leaves from old trees, from which only a few kilograms of leaves are harvested each year. It comes from the village of Jinxiu in the Fengqing region. This region is known for being home to the oldest tea tree, Jin Xiu Cha Wang Ancient Tree, which is approximately 3,200 years old. It is a beautiful mountainous region covered with ancient forests. Both wild tea trees and several hundred-year-old trees planted by humans grow there.

This natural biodiversity of trees with different characteristics gives this wild tea a rich and complex flavour. The bouquet of aromas of this wild tea is distinguished by its freshness and floral notes. The aroma of dry leaves releases sweet notes of grass, hay, herbs, and mushrooms. The taste and texture of the infusion reveal traces of vegetable broth with a delicate, sticky umami lingering on the tongue. No bitterness or astringency. A very delicate, pleasantly soft taste and aroma experience.
