The other side of tea

2025 Nanmei Wild Hong Cha

Price range: 15.00 € through 47.00 €

A premium wild black tea with remarkable depth, a delicate texture, and a complex aroma. From the very first sip, it reveals the multi-layered sweetness typical of Yesheng teas, accentuated by subtle notes of stone fruit and citrus. With each subsequent infusion, the tea reveals its rich flavour, initially mild and full-bodied, gradually becoming more pronounced and subtly spicy. The lingering aftertaste reveals a delicate hint of menthol, which lends the flavour profile a fresh and light character.

Nanmei is a unique area situated north of the Mengku Valley, a few kilometres from the famous village of Bing Dao. The forests of Nanmei are home to many different varieties of wild trees. These are distinct varieties of camellia that did not arise from the domestication of the tea bush by humans several thousand years ago. These trees usually grow deep within the forest and bloom only once a year, in early spring.
