The other side of tea

2020 Alishan Qing Xin Hong Cha

The tea we offer has been picked and processed by hand. The leaves have traditionally been rolled into small balls like many Taiwanese oolongs. The amber-orange infusion releases a velvety aroma of honey and dark fruits. The taste of the infusion is full but mild, with a strongly noticeable fruity aftertaste. Just like in the case of the Oriental Beauty tea, the leaves on the bush were bitten by Jacobiasca Formosana insects, where they began to oxidize. Thanks to this fact the tea gets its fruity and honey aroma and taste.
